Games of new: F'n Balls
19/08/2020F'n Balls is the name of the game and was released for the 48K Speccy in 2019 by Andrew Dansby. Meet Bob. Bob is a ball who aside from looking like a decapitated Stig has made some enemies that wish to pop him. Your job is to guide Bob safely through 13 levels of danger.
Sounds simple enough, but Bob isn't the fastest of movers and being a ball he's a bit on the bouncy side! To escape each level you first need to navigate him to the key and then get him back again without running into any of the floaty things trying to kill him.
Bob is not completely defenceless though and can shoot the buggers but they respawn almost immediately from a menacing red square somewhere on the screen. Extra lives and points are available throughout, and there are also one way teleporters that can both help and hinder you.
Bob's movement is incredibly frustrating but also rewarding when you manage to get him home! Overall it is a very good looking game, and has some decent in-game sound and title music that really pushes the 48K's beeper.
